Still nobody discover the origin history of the name Rajshahi . But there is a say in this matter that once upon a time there was a Bramhon land lord who used to collect tax at the reign of Murshid Koli khan in the place Rajshahi Chakla. His name was Udoy Narayon. And Murshid Koli khan declared him as a King. Possibly Rajshahi name has been established from the partly last words of two name (Rajas RAJ & Badshahis SHAHI) as Rajshahi.
